Description

MCAST is seeking to fill the position of Deputy Director Legal Affairs.


The selected candidate will be engaged on a three-year definite contract, renewable.

Requirements

a. Experience/Qualifications


Candidates are required to:

- Hold a Bachelor's degree at MQF level 6 in Law or Legal Studies awarded by the University of Malta;

- Be in possession of a Master’s degree at MQF Level 7 qualification in a Legal field related to the duties pertaining to the post;

- Have 3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in the job description.

- The successful applicant will be a warranted lawyer, recognised in Malta.              


b. Personal skills/Technical skills/Disposition


- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English;

- Be able to work on own initiative and in possession of excellent interpersonal skills to liaise effectively internally and externally;

- Be analytical and display a sharp eye for detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a very fast-paced work environment;

- Be able to work independently but also be a real team player, with a positive can-do attitude;

- Possess networking skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships with people at all levels;

- Be able to challenge ideas and current methods;

- Have the ability to discuss sensitive and confidential issues with staff and maintain confidentiality.
