Eligibility: The Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, preferably knowledgeable in the area of mechatronics and sensorics.
Description: Responsible for assisting in the execution of project deliverables, mainly in the setting up of underwater localisation sensors for the control of an underwater robot. The candidate will be responsible for the development as well as deployment of a test setup in a controlled environment to estimate the position, velocity and acceleration of an underwater robot. The task also includes understanding of the kinematic model of the robot. The candidate will also be responsible to liaise with the principal investigator and researchers at MCAST, as well as with other project partners. The candidate will also contribute to the organisation and attendance of training sessions and report writing.
