Description

The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology is seeking to recruit an Internal Auditor within the Internal Audit Office.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

- A First degree (MQF Level 6) & Master's degree (MQF Level 7) in Accounting or Finance.

- Warrant folder as CPA & CPAA.

- Provide evidence of having five (5) years's experience in the Auditing field.

Personal skills/Technical skills/Disposition


- Up-to-date knowledge of developments in international accounting standards and their interpretation.

- Knowledge of auditing procedures including techniques, test and sampling methods.

- Ability to identify potential criminal or fraudulent behaviour in line with AML/CFT directives and regulations.

- Ability to recognise and monitor risks faced by organisations and accountants in practice.

- Up-to-date knowledge of recent trends in corporate governance and the ability to identify the conditions required for good corporate governance.

- Ability to clearly and coherently explain financial information to management.

- Ability to be independent, objective and inquisitive.

- Possess strong presentation and negotiation skills.

- Strong interpersonal and written and oral communication skills in both Maltese and English and to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Excellent organisational and planning skills, problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines.

- Time management skills and the ability to multitask while able to work independently and as part of a team.

- High level of drive and ambition, a methodical and meticulous approach, a sense of initiative, a solution-oriented approach, attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

- Honesty and integrity are crucial attributes for this position. ​
