Requirements
Applicants must have a First or Master’s Degree (full qualification) in Mechanical or Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering.
Other requirements:
a) Be proficient in English language
b) Be familiar with MTOE procedures
c) Have at least six months’ experience in a Part-147 environment
d) Have formal on-the-job training in auditing with a minimum of six internal audits under the supervision of the Quality Manager
e) Has attended training in auditing techniques
f) Have the necessary interpersonal skills to conduct audits (professionalism, sincerity, empathy, objectivity and neutrality), have strong communication and writing skills and the ability to apply them consistently in accordance with acceptable industry standards.
g) Has successfully passed a competency assessment review by the Quality Manager. The auditor is to be observed (on the job) once every scholastic year to ascertain that he/she has the required competence level. The observation visit is to be conducted by the Quality Manager unless the Quality Manager and the auditor are one and the same.
